How We Review: The Criteria Behind Everything on AH88
This page exists so you can check our work. AH88 is an independent guide, not a casino — we take no deposits, run no games and hold no player balances — and when we describe an operator we are reading its published material, not testing its cashier. Here is exactly what we look at, what that can and cannot prove, and how we are paid. 21+ only.
Seven things we look at
We apply the same seven criteria every time, in the same order, so that two write-ups on this site are comparable. None of them produces a score, because a single number hides the one fact a reader actually needs.
| Criterion | What we look for | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Licence disclosure | A named licensee and regulator stated on the operator's own pages, not an unexplained badge | The operator's footer, terms and about pages |
| Payment rails | Which named rails are offered, and whether the cashier states its own limits and cut-offs | The published cashier and payments help pages |
| Terms clarity | Whether bonus wagering, expiry and maximum-bet rules are findable and written in plain language | The promotion terms as published |
| KYC rules | Which documents are requested, and at which point verification is triggered | The operator's verification policy |
| Complaint route | A stated escalation path beyond first-line chat, and whether a regulator is named | The complaints or disputes page |
| Responsible-gaming tools | Deposit limits, session reminders, cooling-off and self-exclusion, and how to switch them on | The responsible-gaming page and account settings documentation |
| Support and distribution | Which support channels exist and in what hours, and how an app is distributed and updated | Support pages and the operator's own download page |
Support hours and app distribution are grouped because they answer the same reader question: when something breaks at eleven at night, is there a route to a human, and did the thing on your phone come from somewhere you can trust.
What we can verify
- Whether a claim is published at all, and whether the operator states it in its own name
- Whether two of its own pages contradict each other — a promotion banner against the promotion terms, for instance
- Whether a licence disclosure names a licensee and a regulator, rather than showing a logo with no text
- Whether the escalation route goes further than a chat window
- Whether responsible-gaming controls are described as self-service or only available by asking support
- Whether the terms are written to be read or written to be survived
What we cannot verify
This is the more important list, and most sites in this market leave it out.
- How long your withdrawal will actually take. We hold no account and see no queue. Timing is set by the operator and by the payment rail, and the operator's cashier page is the only place it is stated.
- Whether a bonus will be honoured in your particular case, which depends on terms that can change after we read them.
- Whether a game's published RTP matches the configuration running in a given lobby.
- How support behaves on a bad day, from one anecdote.
- Anything about your account. We have no access to it, and anyone claiming otherwise is not us.
We never write that we tested a cashier, counted a payout or clocked a withdrawal, because we did not. Where an operator-specific number belongs — a minimum, a fee, a limit, a processing window — we say that it is set by the operator and point you at its cashier page, which is where the current figure lives.
No scores and no league tables
You will not find a rating out of ten or a ranked list of 'best' operators here. A score compresses seven unrelated things into one digit and then invites you to trust the digit. It also ages badly: terms change, rails change, and the number stays on the page looking authoritative.
Instead each criterion is reported in its own words, including when the answer is that the operator does not say. 'Not disclosed' is a finding, and often the most useful one on the page.
How we are paid, and what it does not buy
Some outbound links on this site are partner links, and we may be paid a commission if you open an account after following one. That is the ordinary business model of an affiliate guide and you are entitled to know it before you click anything.
What it does not buy: a word of this site's wording. No operator sees a draft before publication, no payment adds a criterion or removes a finding, and no commission arrangement has ever changed a sentence here. If a partner's terms are hard to read, the page says so. We would rather lose the commission than describe a licence that is not disclosed as though it were.
Corrections and dates
Every page on this site carries a published date and a modified date. Operator-specific detail goes stale faster than anything else, so where we cannot keep up we deliberately describe the mechanism and send you to the operator's current page rather than freezing a figure in print.
If something here is wrong, it should be corrected rather than defended. Use the contact route on our about page, tell us which page and which sentence, and the page's modified date will show when it changed.
The limits of this site
AH88 is a guide. It is not a casino, not an operator and not an agent: it takes no deposits, runs no games, pays no winnings and cannot intervene in a dispute on your behalf. Gambling here is discussed as paid entertainment for adults aged 21 and over, with a cost that should be decided before the session rather than during it.
If you are reading this page to decide whether to trust a single sentence somewhere else on the site, the honest answer is: trust the ones that tell you where to look, and check the operator's own page for anything with a number in it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you rank operators?
No. There are no scores, stars or league tables on this site. Each criterion is reported separately, including when the operator does not disclose it.
Do you test withdrawals yourselves?
No, and we say so plainly. We hold no accounts. Processing times are set by the operator and the payment rail, and the operator's cashier page is where the current figure is published.
Are your links paid?
Some are partner links that may earn us a commission. No payment changes our wording, and no operator reviews a draft before it goes live.
Why is 'not disclosed' such a common answer?
Because it is frequently the true one, and it is useful. An operator that will not name its licensee in text has told you something about itself.
How often is a page updated?
When something changes that we can verify. The modified date on each page is the honest record; where detail goes stale quickly we describe the mechanism instead of printing a figure.
Can you help me get my money out?
No. We have no access to any operator's systems. The route is the operator's own support in writing, then your e-wallet's in-app help, then PAGCOR's published complaint channel.
Who writes this site?
It is published under the AH88 name by the editorial team that maintains it. We do not invent human bylines or credentials, because a fake author is a worse signal than no author.
